Wedding Weekend

Last Saturday, my cousin got married!  It was the first family wedding we have been to that didn't involve my family (beyond simply attending) and my Grandpa was quick to point out that it was the first wedding where the couple was announced as "Mr. and Mrs. Liggett", since my sister and I are the only two that have gotten married and therefore, are no longer Liggetts (in name... there is a special kinda crazy that I'm sure both of our husbands will quickly agree is a "Liggett" thing).

I showed up at my sister and brother-in-law's house on Thursday night after work (I was in MD that week, so it was just a hop, skip, and a jump away).  My mom was already there and my dad showed up shortly after.  Mike grilled chicken, Renee made salad and beans, Mom and I did nothing and hung out with the dogs (and drank beer - Christmas Ale!).

Then Britta came over!  She stopped by to say hi on her way home from a friend's house!

Aaron showed up the next morning, just in time to golf with Mike and Dad.  Apparently it was not a good day in golfing land... but they had fun.  Eddie arrived in the afternoon.  We cooked out (I, again, did nothing and it was fabulous) and made s'mores by the fire.  It was all very casual and it was nice to just get to hang out with my family.

The next day was the wedding!  It wasn't until the afternoon, so we got to be lazy all morning and take our time getting prettied up for it.

Lebron announced his decision to come back to Cleveland... my brother-in-law was thrilled.    Hence the 2-3.

The wedding was beautiful!  It was very simple and short, all of the people in the wedding party had beautiful outfits, and they just looked so happy!

The reception started with cocktail hour (and in Eddie's opinion, too many family pictures).

Then we ate dinner, danced, and drank.  The bar became a cash bar at 10:30, so my family and a few other cousins stocked up on the free drinks before it switched...  I think this qualifies for AA memberships...

This was only about half.  I love my family.

It was a really great weekend!  I loved getting to see my family and Aaron and I talked about how this was really the first time we have been able to just casually hang out with my family without the craziness of holidays or our wedding.  It was awesome... I just wish we didn't have to fly back to AZ afterwards...
